Sacred Heart-Griffin provides several retreat opportunities for students:


Kairos is a four day, three night, off campus, experience on God's time. The Kairos retreats are schedule several times throughout the school year. It is open to Seniors. Juniors are invited to attend the last Kairos of each year. Click here for more information.

Freshman Retreat: Service: it's not just about the yellow cards!

This day long retreat provides each Freshman with a service experience, surrounded with prayer and reflection upon the experience. This retreat is based out of West Campus during the school day. Students are sent forth to serve in a variety of organizations throughout the Springfield area.

Sophomore retreat: A Day of R & R (Relationships and respect)

The following retreats are offered in the area outside of Sacred Heart-Griffin:

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) 

The TEC retreat is an international movement for young people. The Springfield Diocese sponsors this retreat. TEC is for those students who have completed most of their sophomore year in high school and are at least 16 years of age. This is an incredible opportunity for men and women to grow closer in faith and experience firsthand the love of Jesus Christ. It is also an opportunity to make new friendships as young people attend from all over the diocese of Springfield.


Quest is a 24 hour overnight designed for Sophomores. It is based upon the three circles of love; Love of self, love of neighbor, and love of God.
