CHILDREN’S “SOCK HOP" CHILDREN'S EVENT

SUNDAY, MARCH 25, 2012, 12:00 P.M. - Join us at the "Sock Hop" Children's event. - Come to Becky's Burger Palace for hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and a Coke, dress up in your favorite 50's costume, get your picture taken, rock-n-roll to your favorite 50's tune, sit in the Greased Lightin' car used in the show and visit with cast members of the show as we take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the stage, set shop, costume room, and orchestra pit for GREASE. You'll get to participate in learning part of dance from one of the show stopping numbers, walk around and see how the set operates on stage, and take your very own "bow" on the stage under the theatre lights! Each child participant will we receive a gift for participating in the children's event. And, that's not all! Your ticket includes the children's event AND admission to the 2:00 p.m. matinee performance of the show. Each child or parent/guardian attending the event is required to purchase a ticket. Tickets are $12 each. Don't miss out on the fun. Reservations begin February 1, 2012 by calling 217-787-1595 x. 153.

AUDITIONS

An audition workshop will be held on Friday, December 16, at 3:10 p.m. in the Choral Room for anyone interested in learning more about the available roles in the show and to pick up audition materials. Everyone that is wanting to audition for the musical MUST complete the dance audition on Sunday, January 8, at 4:30 p.m. Auditions for Freshmen and Sophomore girls (and any other girl wanting to audition for Chorus may also audition this day) will be held after school on Monday, January 9. ALL Guys will audition on Monday, January 9 at 6 p.m. Junior and Senior Girls along with Encore and Premiere girls will audition Tuesday, January 10 at 4 p.m. Callbacks will be held at 6:30 p.m. that same evening. The cast list should be posted after school on Friday, January 13.

If you have a question about your grades, please see the individual teacher. If you feel there's an error or special consideration needed to change/update your grade, please have the teacher go to the principal to ask for the exception.

Sunday, March 25, 2012 - Call for named character parts @ 11 a.m. for children's event - Call for cast - Noon for makeup and hair. After the show, EVERYONE is required to stay and strike/clean-up. Should be done by 7 p.m.

MANDATORY MEETING

A mandatory cast member/parent/guardian meeting will be held on Monday, January 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the Choral Room with regular practice to follow the meeting until 8:00 p.m.
