GEOMETRY
CREDIT: 1 (4.A grading) GRADE 10
PREREQUISITE: Algebra I-442 with SHG Teacher Recommendation
This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of plane and space geometry.
Both deductive and inductive methods of proof are applied to the study of points,
lines, planes, and angles. Applications are made to triangles and other polygons
as well as to circles, with particular attention to congruence and similarity.
Constructions, transformations, and formulas relating to areas and volumes are
studied. This class prepares students for Algebra II.
