Sacred Heart Griffin High School fosters academic excellence by offering writing, tutoring, and study skills to all students. The Academic Intervention Coordinator oversees these services.
The Writing Center is open to students in all classes who would like any type of writing assistance. Students can get help during their study hall with prewriting, proofreading, formatting, style and grammar. Students sign-up for Writing Center assistance at the Library desk.
Student-to-student tutoring in content areas is provided by National Honor Society students both before and after school and during study halls when possible. Arrangements can be made by contacting the classroom teacher or the student’s guidance counselor.
Help with study skills is available to students who wish to improve their academic performance. Students will benefit from time management tips, study skills for specific courses, and reading and note taking strategies. Contact the student’s guidance counselor or the Academic Intervention Coordinator for assistance.
