Current Issues

This course studies modern issues, focusing on the political and social problems that affect today's world. News magazines, daily newspapers, and computer research supplement the text. Course expectations include awareness of current events, active student participation, topic research, map studies, and use of organizational and problem-solving skills.

Course Goals

1) To acquire knowledge of current issues.
2) To have informed opinions about current issues.
3) To be able to articulate those opinions.
