- Eating and drinking are not allowed in the classroom.
- Using make up, hairbrushes/combs, lotions, etc or materials for other classes during Spanish class time will result in confiscation of the grooming items or papers/books.
Special Instructions
- Class Participation: Your grade for this component of the course will be based on the quality and quantity of what you say in Spanish in class. The participation grade includes your active contribution in Spanish in regular class sessions, pair work, and small group activities. It is primarily your instructor’s evaluation of your spoken Spanish. You are encouraged to ask questions in English, but only what you say in Spanish will affect your participation grade.
- Late work will be accepted with a 50% reduction credit. A 50% reduction in credit means that the student receives 50% of the points that would have been earned had the homework been turned in on time.
- Keep all graded materials in your pocket folder. If there is a discrepancy in grades, you will have the papers to compare with my grades. I WILL KEEP ALL TEST.
- IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO WRITE DOWN SCORES AS PAPERS ARE RETURNED TO HIM/HER.
- In cases of excused absences, the student is responsible for getting homework assignments from THE TEACHER or Renweb.com. The assignment due date is calculated on the number of consecutive days absent.
- If you will be gone on vacation –please make arrangements in advance.
- All tests will be taken on the required day if you were present the day the test was announcement.
- No talking during quizzes or tests.
- NO CHEATING OR COPYING: Sharing homework or sharing test information with the next class is cheating! All books must be under your chairs during all tests or quizzes. Everyone must sit upright and keep your test answers covered as much as possible during all tests or quizzes. Using technology to translate or produce assignments is cheating and will result in zero! This will be based in my opinion and will be irrevocable.
- In the event that I am late or called away from class, students are expected to contact the office, remain in your seats and quietly review until the teacher returns. Each class will have two designated students in charge of notifying the office of any problems or to help out in case of an emergency.
- You may “forget” to bring your workbook to class only once each quarter, second time you will get detention.
- Grading Scale:
20% Homework
20% Projects (one each quarter)
60% Test or quizzes
IF YOU NEED HELP, please schedule a meeting with me or come to my room before or after school.
