The mission of Catholic secondary education goes well beyond preparation for college. Sacred Heart-Griffin prepares students for a world in which they will be called upon to make courageous moral and ethical decisions. These decisions will shape their lives and the lives of others.
The SHG Guidance Department partners with parents and faculty to ensure a productive, meaningful high school experience for our students. Following are some of the activities and services that can be accessed through the department:
Academic advising
Personal counseling for students
College advising
Crisis intervention
Substance abuse prevention/counseling
Schedule changes (concerns regarding poor academic performance)
Transcripts
College/Scholarship recommendation letters
Concerns about safety/well-being of student
Issues involving students/teachers
Issues involving family problems and impact on students
Issues involving harassment and bullying
