PhotoAdmissions FAQ

What is the tuition for this school year?
The tuition for the 2009-10 school year is $6375 for Catholic students, and $7150 for students of other faiths.

Are there additional costs?
The various fees are detailed on the Tuition page. In addition, SHG students must purchase their textbooks each year. Used books are available for purchase on Books/Fees day, usually held in June or July. Students must also purchase their uniforms, either from Luer’s or Dennis Uniform Company.

Is financial aid or scholarships available for families who cannot afford the SHG tuition?
SHG offers aid to parents who would otherwise be unable to send their student to this school. Please look on the Financial Aid page for information regarding financial assistance.

Should we apply for Financial Aid?
Because the family and the school both pay for the services of FACTS, we use the company's recommendations to indicate priority. Generally speaking, families who earn less than $65,000 are given priority as we allocate funds. However, your family's situation may be unique and you may qualify for financial aid.

Are there tuition options if a student’s parents are divorced?
Families with divorced or separated parents, each of whom accepts responsibility for a percentage of tuition and fees payments, may select one of three payment plans (Annual/Semester/FACTS) for each parent. Depending on each parent's situation, one or both may apply for Financial Aid.
