JOURNEYS * OF* SERVICE *HELPING *UPPER* APPALACHIA

The Urban Mission Ministries of Appalachia have invited the students of Sacred Heart-Griffin to provide assistance to the residents in and around Stuebenville, OH. The students clean, scrape and paint siding, rebuild structures such as roofs and porches, stock food pantries, and serve on a food line. Each day the students are presented with the opportunity to attend mass and reflection time.

The 2008 trip included 42 students and 11 adults served on this trip. The 2011 trip is scheduled for June 5 - 10.

We welcome anyone who would like to help monetarily, with supplies, or as an adult chaperone.
