SHG WORKS 2011 October 8 and 9. Sign up NOW!

SHGWorks is a Springfield community wide service weekend. SHGWorks began the fall of 2008, our 20th anniversary year of the beginning of what is now our co-educational Sacred Heart –Griffin High school.  It was a way to say thank you in our efforts to give back to the Springfield community.

Last year some 200 Sacred Heart-Griffin students, parents, alumni, and friends blanketed Springfield neighborhoods as part of a widespread service effort to clean up areas of our community and assist individual homeowners with tasks they were unable to perform themselves.  Sign up to help out our community by assisting low income, disabled, and elderly homeowners maintain their homes and yards.

SHGWorks is a parent/alumni led adventure. Volunteers are needed for SHGWorks the weekend of October 8th  and 9th   You may sign up for one day or two.  If a full day commitment is not in the cards, see about volunteering to help deliver lunches, help with supper, or take a shift for the overnight.  Sunday will begin a little later than shown on the permission slip because we will attend 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Agnes.  Please return your volunteer sheet to the main office.  Forms are available on this website,  If you have questions, contact Nora Yochim at 698-9846 or norayochim@comcast.net.
