Multi-Sport Complex
The baseball field is positioned to the north side of the West Campus building; the football/soccer field is nestled among the existing trees located on the land behind old Griffin High School. The complex will host sports camps, tournaments, intramural activities and will serve as the home for the Cyclones’ baseball, football and soccer teams. Features of the football/soccer complex include:
- Synthetic field turf
- A press box and an electronic scoreboard with video capabilities
- Permanent bleacher seating on both sides offering comfortable seating for 3,900 fans
- Berm seating on the grass adjacent to the stands on both sides of the field and beyond the end zone
- A concession/picnic area and restroom facilities
- Ticket booths located on each side of the field accommodating home and visiting fans
- 100 new trees will be planted to give the stadium area a groomed, landscaped appearance
The new baseball stadium includes a synthetic playing surface as well as these amenities:
- Dugouts and bullpens for both teams
- An electronic scoreboard
- 10’ high outfield fence
- 30” brick wall behind home plate with a 30’ screen
- Berm seating available in the grass beyond the left field fence
- Movable bleacher seating behind both dugouts and the home plate backstop.
