"In order to get the most out of my high school experience, I try to be involved with everything SHG has to offer. First of all, service is an important part of my life at SHG. I believe we serve ourselves best when we help others. In addition to being a member of Key Club, I had the opportunity to participate in JOSHUA last summer. JOSHUA was an amazing experience and we were able to impact people's lives. SHG Works has also been an opportunity for me to give back to our Springfield community. Academic excellence is another pillar of my life at SHG. I am president of the National Honor Society at SHG. Also, I am a SEA officer and Spanish Club treasurer. Since freshman year, I have also been a varsity member of the tennis team. I am very interested in national and global issues because they will impact our future. SHG is great because of all the teachers who have taught me, and others, so much over the last four years. I am also proud of the sense of community at SHG."
