Operation Teen Safe Driving (O.T.S.D.) 2011-2012

SHG has been approved for the Illinois Department of Transportation: Operation Teen Safe Driving grant! Our school will receive $2,000 to create a campaign that encourages teens to buckle up and drive safe.
Thank you to Governor Pat Quinn, Secretary of State Jesse White, the Ford Motor Company Fund, the Allstate Foundation, Illinois State Police, Illinois State Board of Education, the Governor's Highway Safety Association, local law enforcement agencies, MADD, & SADD chapters for this opportunity!
Any students interested in participating:
Meetings are held after school on TUESDAYS in the cafeteria (F.I.R.E.)
Sign-up sheets for events are posted on Ms. Benson's door.
Important dates:
Thursday, December 1: OTSD program officially begins
Thursday, December 8: meeting with Regional Coordinator (9am)
Tuesday, January 31: OTSD Distracted Driving Contest deadline
Friday, February 10: OTSD night at West Campus (6pm)
Wednesday, February 29: OTSD program officially ends
