The Yellow Ribbon Prevention Program was founded after a young teen, Mike Emme, took his life after being unable to find the words to ask for help.

The program is dedicated to " preventing youth suicide by attempting to empower individuals and communities through leadership, awareness, and education; and by identifying and collaborating with support networks to reduce stigma and help save lives".

Throughout the year, Dr. Moredock addresses suicide awareness with each class (freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior), and FIRE club members display important phone numbers and information throughout the school.
