Fees Not Included in Tuition

  • Registration Fee
    $350 per student to process registration and to cover materials and special expenses of various courses.
  • Graduation Fee
    $65 per senior for added graduation expenses.
  • Schedule Change Fee
    $35 due at time of student-initiated schedule change.
  • Athletic Fee
    $125 per year per sport (maximum two sports) due at time of student’s Participation.
  • Late Payments
    $25 (Tuition)

Sacred Heart-Griffin appreciates the sacrifices you make to provide your child with a quality Catholic education. We are committed to making enrollment accessible to families with a wide range of financial circumstances.

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, Sacred Heart-Griffin is offering the following awards to families:

Sacred Heart-Griffin Tuition Awards 2022-23

Award Description Amount
Shoulder To Shoulder Scholarship Awarded to families that have multiple students concurrently enrolled at SHG. $1,000 for the second sibling and $2,000 for the third sibling, renewable. Fourth sibling waived.
Catholic Investment Award Awarded to families who pay tuition to a Springfield Catholic grade school $500 per sibling
Catholic Teacher Award Awarded to families who have a parent that works in a Springfield Catholic grade school $1,000 renewable, current four-year value $4,000
*Cyclone Investment Award Awarded to families that are making the ultimate sacrifice and based upon each family’s total income level Income Level:
$0 - $49,999: $3,500
$50,000 - $74,999: $3,000
$75,000 - $99,999: $2,500
$100,000 - $124,999: $2,000
$125,000 - $149,999: $1,500
$150,000 - $175,000: $1,000
Payment Plan Reduction For families that choose to pay their tuition either annually or each semester will receive a discount $100 for Annual Plan if paid by 6/1
*$50 for Semester Plan if paid by 6/1 & 12/1
*Discount taken off 12/1 payment

*Students can earn all the awards that apply to them. To receive the Cyclone Investment Award, families must submit a Facts Grant & Aid online application.

Students must maintain the following requirements to receive these awards:

  • The student’s grades are commensurate to his/her ability.
  • The student maintains good disciplinary standing.
  • The family meets scheduled tuition/fees payments.
  • The student fulfills the Service requirement of 20 hours of service each school year.

Student Investment

Sacred Heart-Griffin recognizes the sacrifice that all families are making to send their child to SHG. If a family has a need for additional financial assistance, they may submit those requests through the FACTS Grant and Aid online application. The amount of funds SHG has available for assistance varies. We will do our best to meet as much of the need as possible.

The Actual Cost of Educating a Sacred Heart-Griffin Student

The actual cost of educating a student at SHG is anticipated to be $14,323.

The following is a breakdown as to how this expense “GAP” is closed:

  • Tuition paid or financial aid for each student
  • Annual Fund
  • Mega-Raffle
  • Mostaccioli
  • Catholic Schools Appeal
  • Dominican Sisters Annual Donation
  • Generous Benefactors
  • Interest from Endowment

Please consider paying the “actual cost” or more. The amount paid above the stated tuition is considered a charitable gift for tax purposes. If you wish to pay a higher level than the stated tuition, these funds will be used to help cover the “GAP.”

Tuition expenses are established in the Spring of each year.
