Steps to Becoming a Cyclone

2. Explore SHG

The best way to discover SHG is to experience it! Prospective students and families are encouraged to visit our campus through a Tour, experience a school day through a Shadow Day, or join us for Preview Night!
3. Apply: Submit an Application
Required
Applications for the 2027–2028 school year open September 1, 2026.
If your student is in Zero Hour, you will not need to apply.
Complete the online application for admission through FACTS. Once your application is received, our Admissions Office will begin the admissions process.
Admission decisions and enrollment instructions will be emailed beginning in mid-January.

4. Apply for FACTS Grant and Aid
Tuition Assistance - Optional
Families interested in tuition assistance may complete the FACTS Grant & Aid application beginning January 1, 2027. The application deadline is March 15, 2027.

5. Take the Incoming Freshman Placement Test
Required for Incoming Freshmen
All incoming freshmen take the Placement Test to help determine freshman course placement.

6. Attend the 8th Grade Parent/Guardian Meeting
Required for Incoming Freshmen
Parents/guardians will receive their student's Placement Test results and recommended freshman course placements. Course registration will also be explained.

Parents/guardians only need to attend one meeting.

Freshman Course Requests open in FACTS at noon.
