Hi, my name is Martin, and I am in the Junior class of SHG. I am from a small town called Thayer, which is south of Springfield, south of Chatham, and south of Auburn. What I really like to do in Thayer is sit outside and stare at all the corn fields for hours on end( Just kidding). In reality, most of my cousins on my mom’s side live near me, and I hang out with them at the pool, play chess, have sword fights with them, etc. For the better part of the year, though, I am at SHG, the school that I have come to love. The main reason why SHG is so good is because of the teachers. Most teachers that I have had my Freshman-Junior years surpass those of my homeschool(sorry Mom) and grade school years in their ability to teach well. Teachers that seem aflame with the spirit of teaching(Mr. Judd, Sra. Troyer, Mr. Talken, etc.) are awesome and they inspire others and myself to do well. I am blessed to have been taught by them and to have known them.
