Welcome to SHG!

Students of the Month

Olivia V.

Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am a senior here at Sacred Heart Griffin.  Over the past four years I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of the National Honor Society, High Honor Roll, SHG girl’s swim team, Cyclones for Life, French Club, and Christmas Club. Outside of school, I enjoy swimming for my club team, lifeguarding, and hanging out with my friends and family.  SHG has been such a great community to be a part of from my teachers who have challenged me academically to my coaches who have pushed me to be my best. My overall experience has left me with so many great memories, relationships, and close friends that I will forever cherish.

Carmen D.

My name is Carmen, and I am a Junior here at SHG. I am a 3 year SHG cheerleader and a captain on the SHG Cheerleading squad! I am a recent member of the National Honors Society and art club. I have a passion for gymnastics, cheerleading, art, and service. What I love most about SHG is all of the amazing opportunities it has provided for me, and allowed me to do. SHG allowed me to run my own food drive for local micro pantries, a COVID positivity card campaign, and so much more! Thanks to SHG, I also get the opportunity to attend the National Student Leadership Conference at Georgetown University in mid-July to continue my journey as a leader in my community. I can't wait to see what Senior Year will bring! Go CYCS!

Jaycie C.

Hi! My name is Jaycie, and I am a sophomore here at SHG. Here at SHG, I am a part of the golf team and Spanish Club. Outside of school, I work at a local pet boutique, I pet sit, and I tutor. I  enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy golfing, swimming in the summer, and playing with my dogs. Even though this year has been different than many previous years, the staff has been very helpful and supportive. Some of my favorite things about SHG is how welcoming the community is and the support from the teachers. The teachers and staff are always there if I have any questions regarding school or personal issues. The teachers and the SHG curriculum also helps me to grow as a student and push myself to be the best I can physically and academically. I am very thankful for the opportunity to attend SHG and I am looking forward to spending the next two years within the SHG community.

Tomasz D.
Hi! My name is Tomasz, and I am a freshmen here at SHG. This year I played basketball, and I am currently in the middle of football season. Outside of school I like to play video games, watch sports, and hang out with friends. I also work on my craft and try to get at least 1% better at something each day. There are many things I like about SHG. I like all the opportunities SHG gives to not only become better as a student, but as a person also. Next, I like the unity of SHG. The student body, as well as the staff, continuously show that they can stay together as one community no matter what challenges we are faced with. I am truly grateful for the opportunities that SHG has given me so far, and I cannot wait to spend the next 3 years here at SHG!
