Summer School
Summer School is an optional program available to enrolled Sacred Heart-Griffin students of all grade levels. Incoming freshmen may register for 1-2 summer school classes provided that they are enrolled to attend SHG the following academic year. Class offerings and prices are available in late February, and online registration takes place in early March. Registrations are time-stamped and class requests are honored on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students' final summer school schedules are emailed to students and parents in mid-May.
Summer School classes meet every weekday morning from late May through late June. Due to the accelerated nature of summer school and the limited number of class meeting days, a student is expected to attend all scheduled class days. A student will be withdrawn from a class if more than four days are missed, and absences should only be used for medical reasons or unforeseen circumstances.
SHG has a relaxed dress code during the summer, and uniforms are not required. Students need to provide their own Chromebook/laptop, and student support services are not available during the summer. Incoming freshmen are required to have a current medical physical and immunization list on file in order to attend summer classes.
