Students of the Month

Emily R.

Hello, my name is Emily Rapacz and I am a senior. Throughout my years at SHG I have participated in many different clubs and activities.  Currently, I am a cheerleader, a freshman focus leader, and a student ambassador. The four years I have spent here have been the best of my life and I have made so many memories that will stick with me forever.  Some of my favorite memories at SHG involve the pep rallies during homecoming week and, of course, when we won the city tournament! These moments are memorable because they are perfect examples of how we are a part of a family who have the best school spirit because we are so proud of our school.  The family that you gain through being part of SHG is really amazing because there is always someone there to support you. Next year, I will plan to study nursing in college.  Sadly, I won’t be spending my days walking these halls, but I know that because of this community, I will always have someone to lean on and many people to support me along the way.  The education I have received at SHG has more than prepared me for anything and everything I may encounter when I move on to the next phase of my life. I am grateful for my counselors, teachers , and everyone at SHG who has played a pivotal role in shaping me into the person I have become throughout the last four years.  SHG will always hold a special place in my heart!

Gabrielle D.

Hey Cyclones! My name is Gabrielle, and I am a junior at SHG. While being at SHG I have been on honor roll every quarter, am a part of Spanish club, and a part of Christmas Club. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, and enjoying the sun in my pool. What I like most about SHG is the faculty and staff. I love how willing the teachers are to help me when I am having troubles. Other than the teachers, the staff in general are amazing. Everyone makes you feel like you belong. Over the past years I have never walked through the halls and had a staff member not say hi or know my name. I am excited to see what new opportunities this school year will bring as well as next school year!

Isabella B.
Hello, my name is Isabella Bergdolt, and I am currently a sophomore here at SHG! At SHG, I am involved in volleyball and hope to be involved with softball this upcoming spring season. I also hope to be involved in key club next school year. During school, I am also on the honor roll and hope to be on high honor roll by the end of the year. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and my friends. Some of my favorite things to do outside of school are playing volleyball, traveling, and going thrifting with my papaw. My favorite classes this year are English, Math, and child psychology. With the restrictions slowly lifting, this school year feels more like a high school should feel. So far, my favorite part of school this year has been the Friday football games and being a part of the student section. I love going to SHG because I feel like it truly prepares me for college and upcoming life events, like starting a career once I graduate. Also, I feel like the teachers here at SHG truly care about their students and having them succeed not only in life but academically. I cannot wait to experience the rest of my high school experience here at SHG!

Molly T.
My name is Molly Tucker, and I am a freshman here at SHG. I participate in many school activities such as Key Club, German Club, OP Teen, Social Justice Club, and Reading Club.  I have been both elected and accepted various leadership roles within these clubs. I currently sit as Key Club's freshman representative, German Club's underclassmen representative, and a member of the freshman class council.  Outside of school I enjoy reading, talking to my friends, and listening to music. Music is one of my personal favorites! I like listening to artists such as Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and One Direction. I am also interested in many topics like mental health advocacy, journalism, and veterinary medicine. When I came to SHG, I was nervous about not fitting in and being submerged in a new environment. However, that anxiety went away very quickly because the community here is so welcoming. Everyone is there to help one another with anything. I couldn't have asked for a better school to help me prepare for my future, and I am anticipating many good memories at SHG! Treat people with kindness :)
